"Multiple Connections..." Error in SkySync
Some users of SkySync have reported receiving the following message in the job history: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.
This is discussed in the Microsoft Support Document 938120.
To summarize, this is behaviour is by design.
The work around for this is to use the IP address of the server when you try to connect to the network share.
For example, instead of using \\ServerName\Share use \\192.168.0.100\Share, substituting the actual IP Address of the server.
Another work around is to create a different Domain Name System (DNS) alias for the server, and then use that alias to connect to the network share.
